The plaque on the left talks about how the soldiers from the Gwardia Ludowa, an armed communist organisation which later became the People's Army staged an attack on German quarters during the occupation. The window on the right used to be a computer program shop and video store. The whole is the building of the Warsaw Śródmieście train station.
